Voltage monitor for CPU socket?
Where can I get a voltage monitoring gadget which will plug into my CPU socket, or is there a better place to monitor the Vcore voltage for MoBo modification purposes?

MotherBoard Monitor is a neat software utility for monitoring temp, voltage and more. It works with many contemporary boards.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. What I'm thinking of, though, is a hardware gadget, since I'm trying to get a voltage at which my current CPU won't run. I'd like to verify the voltage before putting a new CPU in. I've heard of some ways to get unsupported voltages, but I want to make sure what I have before putting in a new CPU. Do you or anybody know what pin I should monitor in the CPU socket for the Vcore voltage?

Thanks again. I checked out the plug-in monitor, but it's a little too much for a one-time project (since the object of tweaking my mobo it to AVOID spending extra money...) Do you know which is the proper pin(s) to probe to do a quick check of CPU voltage? This is for a socket 7 CPU.
Thanks.
