Running at 504Mhz at 2.0 volts

Just got my EOM Celeron yesterday. Using a Glacier 4500C cooler it popped right up to 504Mhz. It's running ten degrees F cooler than the Retail version, week 49, I have running at 464Mhz.

    Specs:
    OEM Celeron is week 39.
Motherboard is Soyo 6BA+ running at stock 2.0 volts.
    CPUmark99 spits out a score of 42.0
Ran Quake II for 5 hours last night and the CPU temp held rock steady at 77F, 25C (case Temp 70F, 21C)

Both chips are from Malaysia, with Compeq markings.

    Sure like this motherboard...

How can you tell the week from reading the markings on the CPU. Mine are mfg in Costa Rica, and as you already read, one does 450 ok but the other one can only be o/c to 376!

On the back of the processor, left hand side, there is information painted to the circuit board. The top number might read something like 9839XXXX, the 39 is the week the processor was tested at Intel's Fab 11 plant.

I think that success is mostly luck. The 3 Celerons I've laid my hands on from Malaysia have all overclocked to 450-504 in two different systems. The only thing in common was the memory. We each had the same type of Micron Technology memory CAS2, 8ns.

    Not sure on your 376...
