Celeron-300a on FIC VB-601 to 450mhz
Hi, I know that the ABIT AH6 are very good for overclocking the 300a celerons to 450 mhz. On my FIC VB-601 I can overclock to 374 but that seems to be about it. I saw on the sysopt.com review of the page that they had it overclocked to 450 mhz and I don't know how because I was told it couldn't give the correct voltage or something of the sort. Usually when I try booting into linux or windows in 450 mhz, the boot will just completely freeze and I'll hit the reset button.. but that too will just stop.. to where I have to turn off the system, and then turn it back on. Heat is not the problem in this case, I've tried it with and without the case on, there are 3 fans running in the system so I know that isn't the problem.. I just am wondering if anyone is having this problem as well and how I can fix it, thank you for anyone who can help, I will try to make it up to the person.

Thank you again.

It sounds like to me that you need a little higher voltage on your processor. The bad thing is that you can't get it on this board, unless someone know of a hardware hack to get higher core voltages.

Yes, I think.. I turned off my jaz drive and speakers and booted into 450 earlier this morning.. I actually got linux to boot and I log'd in, but when I started up quake, it froze. Does that still mean voltage or is it heat? I'm not sure.
