    O/C celeron 450 to 504

My celeron 300a runs great at 450 with 2.0v but to get to 504 I need to pump up to 2.3v and disable the L2. I am using only the retail fan. Would getting a better heatsink/fan combo lower the voltage requirement and enable back the L2?

It you want to do a big overclock like that you want to get the best heatsink that you can find. Remember heat can be a killer. also remember that even with the best cooler that you can get that there is no guarantee that it will do 504. the best cooler that i have seen is the Cool-It Dude!FACX4B Wopper 'Celery Sandwich', available from

The downside to this product is the price around 65 dollars. The othercooler that I have seen that works well is the Glacier 4500C (Celeron) available for 35 dollars from

Again there is no guarantee that you will get 504 even with these coolers. A good cooler is the probably the most overlooked item when building a overclocked system(<-my2cents).
