Has anyone heard of this message or this problem?

I am running a 300a at 450 on a Gigabite GA-6bxc and it runs solid in windows 98 but I have two problems...

The first is that I'm getting a flashing message when the computer is posting the says "Warning: SPD not found at Dimm(s) 4...

And the second is that sometimes the computer wont restart through windows...It seems to be a problem with the soft power/restart button...Sometimes the computer wont boot at all...it just beeps...but when it does boot there is not a single error in windows....just that flashing message during the post.
The system has 128 of ecc ram in it if that help...I also only have the oem fan but the cpu is cool to the touch...barely even warm... Any suggestions?

Check your dimms. They might be loose.
That might be the reason you're getting
dimm socket errors and sometimes not booting
    up properly.

your dimms do not support SPD
but your bios keeps looking for is,.,
try to set it off in your bios,

do you get 0E errors alot??
    then your dimms are broken,
    go get some new ones
