hoaky system cooling
Okay, this may not be the slickest cooling improvement, but I just replaces the outer sheet metal skin of my case with a new one made of security screen mesh.
I purchased a piece of this scrap security sheet metal ($5 -just big enough to fashion a case)from an industrial metal supply. It is entirely perforated with 1/8 inch holes and was very easy to bend and shape using a piece hardwood and a small hammer. I didn't even have to drill screw holes because the existing holes lined up perfectly. A little paint to match and presto! - ! almost as good as running with the case open.
Watch out with that coffee - would ya?
souns good if your machine is in a safe place. I have all of my cases out in the open, and am scared that I might spill some beer into there some late night while plating quake. Great Idea though. It might be a good solution for someone who can't cool their case well enough with fans.
Does anyone have a good idea for keeping dust out?
I read somewhere to use those fabric softener sheets. Any other ideas. I have a case that can be removed on one side and still have the other side and top on (probably normal). I was even thinking about putting panty hose or something else over the hole and blowing a little fan i already have instead of paying 15 bucks for a little bitty fan for the front of the case.
