Overclocking AMD K6-2-333 to 400 or higher,Asus P5a-b
I have a asus P5a-b motherboard and a amd K6-2-333.
Now itīs running at 350 MHZ but i heard that with changing volts to 2.6 you can overclock to 400 or more can someone help me !, I donīt like when my amd goes burning down !!!!
Repl. in english or dutch, I prefer E-mail to email@example.com THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!
It is not recommended to exceed 2.4 volts, as I am sure you are aware; I could not overclock my K6-2 300 any better at 2.6v than at 2.4. I got it to 350, and since I have an earlier version of the FIC 503+ it has an undocumented 90-mhz bus instead of the 95 and at 4x90&2.4v it does 360mhz rather well.
I know you are probably tired of hearing this, but the Celeron 300a/ ABIT BX6 combo is really a great option if you are thinking of a second system in the future - it overclocks WAY better than the K6-2.
