    My celeron needs help

In first sorry for my english because I'm french. I'll try to explain my problem :

    I have :

    Celeron 300A -- BH6 motherboard -- 64 SDRAM 100MHz -- Western Digital 6.4Go -- SB 64 PCI -- Asus 3400TNT in/output TV -- 3Dfx 2 -- 24x CDROM -- Phillips CDD 2660.

When I want to overclock my Celeron, Win98 doesn't boot up. When it boot up I try to play Halflife and I must reboot my PC.

To overclock my PC, the are my settings :

    -- user difine
    -- Turbo Frequency Disabled
    -- External Clock 100 MHz
    -- Multiplier Factor *4.5
    -- Sel100/66#Signal High
    -- AGPCLK/CPUCLK 2/3
    -- Speed Error Hold Disabled
    -- Core Voltage 2.1V

I try to overclock without the computer case (???). I can play Halflife but when I lauch Quake 2 I must regularly restart the PC. For all the games I play in 1024*768 (TNT), the 3Dfx 2 is only for glide game. I think my celeron overheats. When it runs @300 the cooling is cold, and @450 it heats more. On the BIOS I record the temperature 37°C, a Freind shave 42°C

If someone can help me ...

Yes 2.2 seems like the next step.
as to cooling make sure you have removed the tape on the back of the heat sink and replaced it with thermal paste (semi-conductior paste). also consider a second fan for the case. (situated so it sucks air into the case. also try setting your hd to mode 3 or even 2. good luck
