    Celron 300a--Box vs. OEM

What's the difference between a celron box and celron oem. Also when looking for a celron should I look for a Malay or does it matter? Thanks for your help

Get a malay if u can. Or a costa rica oem weeks 46,44 or 43 in 1998. The newer oem's are not as successful.

A box is usually retail, but not always. One way to be sure is look for sl32a on the back of the cpu(on the white strip). Sl2WM is oem.
Although now intel is selling sl2wm's as retail for 99 models.
But any malay chip has a good chance to o/c well. For costa rica look for ones made in 98 and the above weeks I mentioned.

    Good luck!
