It happens, surprised it happened at 2.0 volts. I read somewhere though that ever celerons that normally do not overclock well benefit from a 2nd fan on the back of the chip. A 486 type fan would do.

    Heat can be a bummer.

    Hi Seti it´s not a joke .
The P2 333 SL2TV from Ireland works fine at
    560 Mhz with 2.0 Vcore.
I´ve one it´s working very well with no modifications.
My CPU is Multi-Locked and it´s an OEM CPU.
    There is a different between the P2 266 and the P2 333.
    The P2-266 is a 0.35 Katmai CPU which needs 2,8 V.
The P2-333 has the Deshutes core whish needs only 2.0 V.

    The P2-333 is a 0,25 micro

OCtoHell: Do you have any Benchmarks at 5x112=560? would love to see them and compare at 5x103=515. Havn't seen any P2-333@560 post any yet to compare. How about Winbench99 if you have it? Thanks Jim Ps: Here P2-333@515@2.2volts,Abit-BX6,SL2QH.

I belive you...and that rocks. I got an old 266 so I got 2.8v and no multiple lock...but the new ones have the new core....I could try to spell it but that would end in disaster...you know what I'm talking about.

    Seti,
You could hit 372 comfy with that chip on the BX or BH.
I have a unlocked 266 and 233 that will sit there.
I'm surprized at OCtoHell and the stock volts at 560 though.
First on the web I believe.
Can get there[558] with a pair of PII300s but with more volts(2.3+2.4).
Celerons at 500/517 stock volts though.
Well winstones and prime need 2.05 for 24/7 runs.
    have fun

Yeah I've been think'n about picking up a BX6-2...but I'm going to be building a new system pretty soon. Maybe I'll take my Asus P2B and put it with the new stuff, and run 372MHz with this chip for awhile. But I'm thinking about getting the celeron 400...and that would be fun to oc hard too...though I could probably get that going pretty fast without needing to change voltage. Ha, I guess I'm pretty much talking to myself!

sorry i'm not sold. a p2 333 at 500 then a p2 333 at 560. man the celrons are the best overclockers out now and most of those are only 300-333's @ 450 mabey 500 and then all this on stock volts. come on man i don't have a pentium i have an amd k6-2 366 @ 400 and i'm pushing it ( i know its a whole different ball game but i'm not stupid. ) i had to up the voltage from 2.2 to 2.3 for 400 and that is with a 100 mhz bus. i thought that most of the mobo's for p2's only had bus setting up to 80 something. oh well if you did it nice job either way its a story that you have to back up and i don't buy it, just too **** high.....
