Has anyone ever got a Celeron 300a that wouldn't overclock at all?

    Just wondering

From what I've heard that's almost impossibe

Since Intel even bumps em up and sells them as higher versions

    Hello,

I feel like i am the only one that cannot get to 450. It took a little work and a house fan to get 374 stable. I have made posts here before and although there were good ideas and I appreciate the help, nothing seems to work. I have gotten 450 for short periods of time, but it always crashes. If anyone else has more suggestions, they are welcome.

Try raising the voltage 1-2 levels and if that causes problems then you probably have an overclocked chip to begin with. Probably Celeron 266

I just built 2 systems with Celeron 300A's and they both overclock to 450 just fine. If increasing the voltage a bit does not work, send the CPU back and ask for a replacement. It should OC.
