Updated BIOS for AMI Taiwaneze MB
Hello,
I have a 486DX2-80 clocked at 80mhz. I purchased a Gainbery MAXimizer CPU GB586-120 and attempted to put it in my MB. I was able, after much jumpering, to get it to boot to memory check and then it loops. I figure I need an updated BIOS but I cannot find the one for my board.
I have a AMIBIOS of 40-P301-001437-00101111-072594-DGREEN-H
Manufacturer of Hsing Tech Enterprise CO., LTD.
BIOS date of 07-25-94
On the BIOS chip it has AMIBIOS AC9445934
I have tried www.ping.be/bios and multiple others. Thanks so much,
Michael

A response from NgtCrwlr to the post (here) Celeron 300a OC cooling and moore (sic) includes the comment:
... a 266 that ran 300 for almost a year. It's on a shelf collecting dust at the moment waiting for a new home.
DX2-80s make good doorstops. Even the Smithsonian turns them down.
