    OC a 166 to 187?

I am new to OC'ing... I'm wondering if its safe to run my Intel Pentium MMX 166, which is currently at 2.5 times 66, at 2.5 times 75 its only 187... the cpu chip has a fairly large heatsink on it now I dont want to overclock it too much but I figure the move from 66 to 75 on the bus has to make a substantial improvement..

U just go ahead and u run ur 166 at 187! Donīt worry, and maybe try even higher bus speeds! But of course u have to watch out for the heat!

    I wouldn't worry about 187 at all.

I've been running my 166 at 208 for about a year. No special fan, or memory. It just runs and runs with no problems.

75 is the highest bus rate my current MB supports.

How do I monitor the heat?
