    Hey Ben;

    I've been putting up posts here for several months, looking for someone who had tried to go 558 with a P-II 450 on a BH6. I went for the BX6 just before the BH6 came out and hoped someone would tell me whether to spend more to get the 124MHz bus speed.

    When the BX6 v2.0 came out with 117 (and enough other choices to last for quite a while) I decided to go for it. It turns out that 558 is unreachable but 527 isn't. I'm not sure it is totally stable but it seems to be holding pretty well.

    I did a series of WinBench 98 tests last night but realized a few things that cause me to start over today. I'll post the results.

    Think of me as a bold lemming. Someone had to take this leap. Maybe others will be sharp enough to see if I grab onto a limb on the way down.

    Roy, www.lostcircuits.com will have a review of the Shuttle 661V running a PII 300 later today or tonight to match the winstone.

    Bighammer - Not sure I get your point.

    Nin981 - Good for you!! If Intel runs true to past form, the P-III will OC to 558 for sure and somewhere upwards of 600 is not out of the question. Remember, this is not a contest. For me, It comes down to a quest for knowledge and a whole lot of fun.

    The BX6-2 provides bus frequencies with 1/4 and 1/3 PCI multipliers. In this case the PCI bus was 1/4x117=29.25 .

    My P2-333 SL2TV works with 5*112 very fine.
    For 500 Mhz you didnīt need the expensive
    P2-450 .

    OCtoHell: Do you have any Benchmarks at 5x112=560? would love to see them and compare at 5x103=515. Havn't seen any P2-333@560 post any yet to compare. How about Winbench99 if you have it? Thanks Jim Ps: Here P2-333@515@2.2volts,Abit-BX6,SL2QH.

    sorry so late getting back.
    What I was pointing at was another set of numbers to compare to at the same speed.
    I personally want to know how my machines match up to other setups.
    I hope you didn't take it as a flame.
    It wasn't intended to be.
    Oh, and welcome to the upper elevation in tweaking.
    LOL
