I think that 400 will the best you can go. I oc my 333 also to 400, stable. The best I can do is 412 mhz, but not 100% safe. Not a heat problem, I have 3 fans and the processor is running cool.

You can try disabling your L2 cache in the BIOS. It will hurt your performance but it will let you know if the problem is the CPU or the cache. If you find out that the cache is the problem you can use the L2 latency program that ZX100 mentions in another post.

By the way, how can you set your system for 400 or 450 if your CPU is locked at a 5X mulitplier? Do you mean 415 and 500?

You will HAVE to disable the L2 cache. The older PII333s, while great because it's only clock-limited (not clock-locked), have the same 5.5ns L2 as the PII350. The cache max's out at 200mhz (1/2 processor speed) so it's already pushing the envelope when you're running the CPU at 400mhz.

The l2 cach was set at 2, I set it up to 3, it's real solid at 400, disabled cache set to 450, booted to window's and locked, don't think heat is a problem runs around 29 to 30 C about 84-86 F. Have 6 fans and a P2HO fan, and yes thermal compound does help. thank's for all the help.

Try setting your Cache at 4,6,8 and you may find one setting that works for you? It will still be faster than no Cache! Also did you try raising the voltage at 450? Hope that helps. Jim Here P2-333@515@2.2volts. Also have a P2-233@336@2.9 or 350@3.0volts so the old cpus may need the voltage raised to O/C also.

There is no heat problem in my Case .
    I had one Cpu ( SL2TV P2 333 from Philipines)
but this one doesn´t run by 500.

OCtoHell: Do you have any Benchmarks at 5x112=560? would love to see them and compare at 5x103=515. Havn't seen any P2-333@560 post any yet to compare. How about Winbench99 if you have it? Thanks Jim Ps: Here P2-333@515@2.2volts,Abit-BX6,SL2QH.
