    O.C. AmdK-6/350Mz to 400 Mz.

My M.B. Limits me to 50Mz jumps. Has anyone has any sucess with this chip running dependably at 400 Mz.?

    Thx...

Before you jump off the AMD Band Wagon. Please remember two things. First- The manufacturer rates the chip at a certian speed for a reason. This is true whether it is AMD or Intel. The reliability is questionable when you run them at a faster clock speed. The second thing to remember is the motherboard that is being used. If you are running a motherboard that has not been certified by AMD, I would question the motherboard before I accuse the chip. I seriously believe that there are some Mboard manufacturers that try to rate their boards at faster speeds than chips on the boards can support. They do this to stay in the market. They will fix the bugs later. I will accuse a motherboard of problems before I will a CPU from AMD or Intel.

the overclock abilities of non-intel cpus are not very good.. i dont think you get it to 400...if you want to overclock, buy an intel cpu next time..

I have an AMD K6-2/350 O.C.'d to 450 Mhz. However it doesn't boot all the time, but it never has a problem with 380/400/428. Once booted, it stays unless I run a heavy 3D game for 30 min or so. I use CPUidle.exe(unregistered so far), and it works.

I have a K6-2/350 overclocked great at 400MHz. I have also had some success at 450, but I have to raise to voltage too high, so I don't care to keep it at this.

    I've got my K62 333@420 Ausus P5A-B 105x4 Mhz
    2.3VCore and 3.6VBus

CPU is running at 50 deg though, is that Ok?

Strangely it did not work at 105x3.5 Mhz.
