    no viable jumper settings... HELP

    I was following the Step by Step guide to overclocking but when I got to where my manual listed the jumper settings, I have a 166 and the manual shows the settings for 166 then 200, there is no in between... how do I proceed?

    What speed are you trying to get? If you look at the configuration table for the motherboard you can usually figure out what setting equals what bus rate and multiplyer (example, for 200mHz the buss would be 66mHz and the multiplyer 3, look at the jumpers for the bus speed and then you know that that setup = 66mHz, look at the multiplyer jumper settings and you know that that setup = 3) Look at the rest of the different listings (166 is 66mHz bus and 2.5 multiplyer) and you should be able to determine your specific jumper settings. Also you can go to your motherboard designer's website and they will usually display some sort of listing with all the jumper settings, you could always e-mail tech support there to (wouldn't hurt).
