Can't Load Printer On Win Y2K
I experienced the problem on my own Win Y2K machine and now on a second machine. The printer loads properly but when I test it I get a fatal error message. I corrected this on my own machine a while back by changing the computer type to Standard PC. Has anyone found what the problem is with WinY2K and printers? If it's certain files not loaded with WinY2K, I'd like to know which ones it is so I could manually load them up. This happens with Lexmark and Epson so far. Old and new designs.
Cheers!

How do you have your printer port set in the BIOS? ECP or EPP?
I always set it for ECP+EPP if I have the option. EPP is the fastest communication style for printing in bi-directional printer mode.

Yeah, I've had that problem before. It was a cannon bubblejet that windows 2k refused to even see. After scouring cannon's website, it turned out that there just weren't any win2k drivers.

ECP + EPP and USB port. Getting rid of the ACPI seems to work well but I would like to avoid this work around so that I could keep my power management features intact.
Cheers!
