    OpenGL freeze problem

Here's my problem. I bought an Elsa GF2 Ultra not so long ago and seem to be getting OpenGL freezes when my CPU is overclocked. The CPU temp is always about 45C when it freezes. I can run Direct3D programs and there fine even at a 50C CPU temp. I've tryed various drivers and none seem to fix it or work any better than the others (I'm currently running the 12.40 drivers BTW).

I'm kinda dumbfounded on this. It works fine with no OC but if I bump it up even a little... FREEZE!

The freezes happen after about 10 mins of play
    Here's some sys info:
    Asus CUBX
    Elsa GF2 Ultra
    No Name PC100 RAM

    PIII 800@1064MHz
    8x133@1.85V

When you're o/cing, your AGP runs at higher frequency, and since CUBX uses only AGP 2x, it may cause the problem. Try flashing your BIOS with one available from ASUS, or just stay with lower CPU speed

    Hmmm... good point.
Question. If my 3D card is AGP 4X(266MHz) and I'm running the AGP 2X(133MHz) out of spec at per say 152MHz why should the card have a problem? Would switching to AGP 1X help?

And one other thing why would only OpenGL apps freeze and not Direct3D ones if the bus being out of spec was the problem?

I'll try the flash and see what happens. I can't say I expected OCing to be trouble free

Back in the days I was practicing o/cing, I've found out that videocards are very sensitive to o/ced FSB, I guess althought card should initially handle AGP 4x, since it detects only AGP 2x, it configures itself to use AGP 2x, and pumping up FSB causes troubles.
Yet, maybe somebody will tell you more ...

    Best Regards ...
