Need help with Floppy Drive

HI,

I really need help trying to get my floppy drive to work. It was working just fine a few days ago. Now it does not want to read any of my disks. I insert the disk, double click the 3 1/2 floppy icon.. the little green light on the drive turns on..and after a few seconds I get a message that the disk is not formatted but they all are. Does anyone know what the problem can be..I have Windows 98 SE.

Any help would really be appreciated.

You could try a head cleaner and check all cables at the back if that fails you'll probably need a new drive

My Drive is only a month old. Im pretty sure that i dont need a new one. I barely used the one i have now. Do you think that it has something to do with the standard floppy disk controller. my comp is a year old and the floppy drive is one month old.
