    Get an old computer going again

    Got an old computer I want to fix for Grandpa.Have reformatted hard disk, do not have a system disk.It does not put me at the C: prompt after turning on, it keeps asking for a system disk. What can I do?

    go to www.bootdisk.com and get whatever boot disk you need for your operating system....
    then just boot with that with the cd in as well...load with cdrom support and go from there. you can just install off the cd in most cases.
