New CPU = New problems :(
I have a J-994AN-L mobo from Jetway running Win98SE. It has been working flawlessly with a Celeron 466 and 256 megs of 100/133 RAM. The system also includes a Voodoo 3 3000 AGP and a Soundblaster Live Value. I have the latest software and drivers installed for both. I just upgraded to a P III 533 with a 133 FSB. I corrected the jumper settings to reflect the new CPU. Now I am getting errors and stack dumps with almost every move. Where do I start? (alcohol?heroin?a gun?) Any help would be appreciated...

I used to get some stack errors until I add this to 'config.sys'.
At the bottom add:
stacks=0,0
if this don't help try adding some numbers, such as:
stacks=1024,1024
and increasing if it seems to help.
Hope this helps.

For "diagnostic purposes" can I place some other RAM in the machine and "underclock " the CPU? I've got some PC100 RAM. Could I set the FSB to 100 and the multiplier to 5.0 as a test of sorts? Any other ideas?

try some faster memory or slow the fsb to 100mhz .or timing with the memory set it to 3t for every setting in the bios if you can with this mobo...
hope this helps...
