    hard drive install ?

am installing twin ibm 30gb hard drives in new system (see glee below). i have antec sx1030 case which allows me to install case fan in front of hard drive bay.

the bay will easily hold the two ibm hard drives (about 1/4 inch spacing) but if i install one of drives upside down, i can get about 3/4 inch spacing (much better air flow/cooling).

as this will be a RAID 0 installation (w/ two 7200 rpmers), i'd like to know if i can install one drive upside down????

You can mount a drive upside down, sideways, or right side up. The drive will still work no matter what!

One of mine's been upside down a year for the exact same reason -- more airflow.

I have opened cases with the hard drives in any consivable position upside down, standing on its nose, on its side and right side up. It don't care as long as it has power and its cable hooked up.
