Me home networking problems...help please?
Ok, i'm trying to network 2 computers at my g/f's house.
She has
1 CPU on Me connected through DSL
1 CPU on Win98
1 Hub
1 DSL Modem
Lots of wire...
SO what i did was add a 2nd nic to the Me computer. Added a nic to the 98 machine. I connected the 2 pc's through a hub. So, on the 98 machine, when she boots it gives her the logon message. So i hit enter and all that. It even detects the IP on the 98 machine. But when i try to open network neighborhood or surf the net, nothing happens. It comes up with the server error.
On the Me machine everything works fine. I even tried "Home networking Setup" it crashes at the end of the process before it can complete.
So...what can i do? Did i setup the home network bad? Can i download some type of patch for Me? Thanks guys and i really hope to get an answer soon.

try getting the service pack for ME, and hope for the best. if the home networking is crashing at the end of the setup than it is probably not working right.

Hi Tarot311
Please do not multiple post. It makes troubleshooting erratic at best and is confusing with more than one thread running.
Apologies, neo_otyugh, please feel free to c&p your reply at
