    Question Occasional no boot

About 50% of the time, when I boot my machine I get a little HDD activity, then nothing. The fans are going, but there is no viedo on the screen, not even the static 'rush' as the monitor starts.
The reset switch wont re-start it and sometimes after a complete power down it will do it again.
It still does it with the fsb @100M

    System is

    PIII 600 @ 744 (fsb 124)
    128M 133 ram
    QDI mobo
    IBM and Seagate HDD
    Herclues TNT 16m Video
    Various other bits'n'bobs

Not too much of a problem, just annoying.

    Any ideas?

    Thumbs up

That really sucks. Honestly, I think it's your power supply. Try turning up your power and see if it turns on. Most of the time computer needs the initial power boost to start. If you are not getting enough power your computer may become unstable. I would check that out first. Otherwise you may have bigger problems. Hope this helps.

    Smile

Set your CPU speed back to 600 then try to reboot.
That's the first thing I'd try. Also the easiest.
