CMOS discharge
I am having problems with certain settings on my computer (in the BIOS)! At one time, I enabled the Turbo setting and the computer ran fine! Now, when doing that, my computer will lock up when I attempt to access my email, as well as some settings on the video card! I never had any problems before. I am wondering if I discharge the CMOS...will that have any effects on my computer? Will I lose any info? Will it make the motherboard like it just came out to of the box?
Thanks for your help!

You might want to try resetting to default in the BIOS. Give it a shot and post back what happens.

Well, it seems we need to look past BIOS and start on hardware. Have you installed anything new lately? What proggie are you using for email? What video card? Put up your specs and we'll see what we can do.

I haven't installed anything new lately. I just reformatted my hard drive. Here are my computer specs:
*Intel Pentium III 650 (Coppermine)
*Abit BX-6 (Revision 2)(I did flash the Bios at one time)
*320Mb Ram
*Diamond Viper V770 Ultra (using latest Nvidia Drivers)
I am using Internet Explorer as my browser..and Outlook Express for email (latest version)
*Soundblaster Live

I'm thinking, have you always run the 320mb of RAM? With a strange number like that, I might be led to believe the sticks are not playing well together. Try it with only the like sticks (same brand & capacity).
