Memmorex CDRW4420

I have the CDRW4420 installed in my system.
Over 60% of the time it does not access the disks put in it. I get this pop up message;
E:\is not accessible, The device is not ready.
Memmorex site was no help at all, The best they came up with was use a cleaning disk and reinstall drivers.
I have done all of this but no good.
I have five new programs purchased only two could be installed dut to this problen.
Stumped!
I have had the system up and running for over an hour before accessing the CD.

Have you tried waiting for about 15~20 seconds first, before you tried accessing the CD in your CDRW? I've seen some CDRW's that take a while to mount before you can access the drive in explorer.
