Red face AT keyboard + PS/2 mouse + games = big problem!!!!

There were: AT style keyboard (old but good) and COM mouse. All worked fine!

There are: The same keys and PS/2 mouse (Genius NetMouse Wheel). Win98 works fine. But in games (Quake2, UT) there are often key’s sticking after simultaneous key’s and mouse’s button pressing. There was not anything like this in the past.
For example, I pressed UpArrow and mouse fire button, then released UpArrow but still running(!!!) until press UpArrow again (sometimes many times in time). Going, going, going … But for others keys it looks like the same.
    I don’t understand. Help! Please!

    System – Win98se, MB - Asus P2B-B.
I tried to install any mouse drivers (but the mouse works even with the built-in Win98 PS/2 driver) – nothing. I tried to change key’s options in BIOS – nothing. I tried to change some options in UT – nothing too.

I wondering if there is a conflict with the new mouse. Go to Start/Program Files/Accesssories/System Tools/ System Information. What does it say under Conflicts and sharing? Are you sure that the problem goes away once you put the serial mouse back on the machine? Is it possible that the keyboard is going out?

hmmm, I have a 12+ year old keyboard and a fairly new ps/2 mouse...no problems.

Check all your resources to make sure there's no conflicts.

    Thanks to all!
But I have got the solutions myself. After some others experiments I replaced my old (and very good!) keyboard to the new one (Mitsumi Ergo Classic). I don’t understand (maybe it depends on keyb’s built-in chip speed (performance)) but all work fine now!
