Configuration of 4 IDE devices!
This is what I have;
IBM Deskstar 8 HDD
Sony CD-RW CRX100E
O.R. Technologies LS-120
Creative Labs DVD-ROM DVD5240E
My question is how should I set these up for the best performance and to eliminate any possible conflicts. Should I put the HDD and the LS-120 together on the primary controller and the two CD-ROM's together on the secondary controller or should I put one CD-ROM on each controller. Which one's should be set to master and slave? I've been told by several people "good luck" on getting all 4 of these to run properly together. I powered the system on once and the HDD light stays on constantly leading me to believe there's a problem somewhere. All 4 devices DID show up under "My Computer" in Windows 95 OSR2 but the computer seems to run extremely slow.
Thanks,
Jim

recorder[primary]and HD[primary, master] together{sorry speed decrease but less than having the LS120 on it}
LS120[secondary, master] and CD[secondary]
less conflicts and most speed with that configuration
