    WordPerfect 7 Troubles

For some unknown reason, whenever I start the Corel WordPerfect 7 word processor, it immediately gives me an error message which is as follows:
WPWIN7 caused an invalid page fault in
    module SHELL32.DLL at 0177:7fce23b3.

I've checked to see where the shell32.dll file is located and the only file that is listed like that is located in the Windows\System folder in Explorer. Anyone have any clues? I've un-installed WordPerfect and then re-installed with the same error message re-appearing. I've been using this program for over a year with no problems. I've ran a virus check, scandisk, and defrag the hard drive. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all.

    God Bless,

For your information: I was able to go to Corel's web site and found the solution to my problem. Just a matter of changing the default folder where WordPerfect saves the files to.

Yup. You forgot to mention that you installed Windows 98 didn't you? It insists on using 'My Documents' as the default. Microsoft never did like competition, not even Corel's innocent 'My Files'.

Not that I'd want to suggest that Microsoft has ambitions of being a monopoly . . . God forbid
