    Question Free ISP's????

Ther a few free ISP's out ther and I have a few questions about them:

    (1) How can they be free? There are two I use that are ad banner-free. Freewwweb.com and worldspy.com. They don't have the ad banners, so how are they making money?

    (2) I have heard from several people that they track where you go on the internet. Is this true, and if it is, what do they do with the information they gather? I like my privacy and I was just curious.

For free, you really can't beat the price, and they seem as reliable as the local provider I am using now. Thanks for any insight .

Those ISP's if there not making money off of banner ads's then, my best guess is that they would be tracking you or ask you for a survey of your age, sex etc.. to put you in a category. From here I think they gather the sites you are on or to the ones you visited, and supply this information to a company that will pay $$$ for this info. And this is probably where corporate America decides where they want their ads to be placed. I mean i am not sure of this for a fact, but I can almost guarantee its something to this effect. As i have learned, nothing is free! Net Zero has its ads displayed according to information you have supplied to them upon signup.
