Problems with Windows Update Site

Any one knows why it took so long to just downloading updates for my copy of Win98. Because afetr IE5 came out Windows Update site is slower than ever. I had no problems with other sites, and it loads normally for other site(transfer rate at downloading a file from @Home test connection is about 176kb/s which is normal).

Any one has the same problem as I do? I use cable modem and not using any Proxy connections.

It's slow because about a zillion PC owners all over the world have doing the same thing you're doing. Give it another day or so before you can expect the traffic to thin out some. Things probably won't be back to normal for about a week.
