I ahve bought over $3000.00 of stuff from Egghead.com. All of it was good except i noticed even when they post equip as new the boxes are always resealed. So actually it isn't new. Also some memory I bought they advertised as 32 meg was actually 16. I e-mailed them twice and they did not even return a message. So I think not only E-Bay needs work. I think they are spending money on inventory and website production and not on the old customer service. Maybe that's why they got out of retail. The Wiz sells returned stuff as new but at least they do it face to face and they give you new stuff if you complain. This E commerce is great but we had better be carefull. I would say that if you like to shop online do so but don't buy stuff that is of primary use like your main office computer. Also be ready to have problems with customer service.
Not true - I've purchased both computer stuff and consumer stuff and what they said was new arrived in unopened cartons...I was also impressed one day when two separate shipments arrived with only one shipping charge... I think mistakes occur and the "clerks" who type up the descriptions may not know the product very well but I'm generally satisfied that what I order I receive..
