Scanners -- what's best cheapie? -- best software pkg?

I've bought and sold 4 scanners. Can't find the best setup. Don't want huge software pkg. Just want to be able to copy quickly and send to printer, fax, email. ... What is the best econo scanner with best software pkg. I've heard good things about Canon, but don't know which one is best for me. ... Please give me some guidance here.

Mustek do some good budget scanners, I have 600 lll EP Plus set up to one of the work systems as for the rest apart from HP Mustek does rhe job fine for its requirements.

I have a Canon FB620U that I got for $99 after a $30 rebate. Very compact, excellent resolution, and overall I'm very pleased with it.

what every ya get get a USB if you have USB ports I have a acer acerscan 310U USB it's fast, way faster than a parallal port scaner, and you can print and scan at the same time [img]/forum/smile.gif[/img] was under $100.00 when i got it have had it for about 1 year and never had a problem with it, does it all and does it rally good [img]/forum/smile.gif[/img]
