    SB Live!

why can't the SB Live! not record from the LineIn? i think the card is expensive enough and i had never problems with other cards to record form the LineIn. it dosen't make sense to develope a soundcard which can't do so easy things like that...even a SB16 can record from LineIn...

My Sb64 pci have 3 outputs in soundcard. Two of them used to speakers and one to microphone. If I need to use line in, I must put cable to rear speaker out and then all works fine. Maybe you must to it too. Be only careful, dont make any sound with your computer.

On the "Mixer"...right click on the title bar, select "view" then "record control" and select the line in plug. The live card has 11 selections for input and may be set to the wrong input by default

I cad the same problem since i formatted my whole system and installed the drivers from the CL website instead of those from the CD.
It seems the SB live! mixer wasn't installed from their site, so I just installed audioHQ etc. from my CD, and set the SB mixer recorder to line in - still didn't work, untill i noticed that i had to set my win98 mixer recorder to line in also - now i'm copying my old lp records to cd via line-in without any problem at all!
