Could someone tell me what this file is for??? its 0.97Gb.

.swp, that's your swap file, man. Virtual memory. Hmmm how much ram do you have? I think that's rather excessive, don't you?
You might want to specify your swap file size. Right click on "My Computer, then properties. Then performance, then virtual memory. Here, just for starters - set your minimum AND maximum to twice your ram. Then click on okay, and then yes. Don't worry about the warning, WinDoze just doesn't "approve" of you managing anything, but believe me, this is better!
Now, reboot and you're under control. The only time you may have tio adjust this is if you get an "insufficient virtual memory/swap file" message. I got this while playing Unreal Tournament, raised it like 20mb, and never got the message again.
