    Angry Printing Through Scanner

    Hi all.
I've just got a Lexmark Z11 printer which I'm trying to connect through my scanner (Blackwidow 4830) - but then it won't print. I've got the latest drivers and I've checked the spool setting and bi-directional is ticked. Could it be to do with the new cable that came with the printer?
I previuosly had an Epson printer and this worked fine. (Should I have spent £30 more and bought another Espon!!)
Anyway, any help would be great

Do you have both the scanner and the printer turned on before you turn on your computer?

Also, does the printer support parallel port protocols EPP/ECP or just SPP?
