Atapi CD-ROM
Please help.
I am having problems with my CD-ROM. It was working fine until I installed an extra 32Mb RAM. The problem is on boot up. The lights on my CD-ROM flash, the drivers are installed. However, the error message: 'CD-ROM not found' abort/retry keeps appearing. It will only let me into Windows 95 when I choose abort. It won't show my CD-ROM at all. What could be causing this?

First of all check out that when you installed the additional RAM, the IDE flat-cable connectors to the motherboard and the CDROM haven't been slightly moved out of sockets( it often happens).
Try it... then we'll talk

Thanks EvilDragon. That is precisely what's happened. I checked the cable, re-booted my system, and hey presto!! CD-rom was recognised. Thanks again.
One very happy dude.
