No internet after resume from standby??
This is a weird problem that just started a few days ago. When I put my computer on standby, then resume from standby, I cannot get on the internet anymore. Let me explain, I can log on to my ISP just fine, but it will not transmit any other data; it will do nothing but log on to my ISP. I cannot check e-mail, open up internet sites, my ISP's site, ping sites, nothing, but it logs on fine to my ISP. This only happens after my computer resumes from standby mode. I have no such problems as long as I don't go into standby mode, then resume. Now, I know it is related to standby mode, because, if I reboot immediately (the only way to resume internet connectivity, by the way), it works just fine. I used to think it was a problem with my ISP. The computer comes out of and goes into standby mode normally, and everything else is perfect, except for this problem. It used to work just fine, and I have not installed anything new lately except Baldur's Gate. I don't think it is hardware related because I have another partition with Windows 98 on it (for my wife) that has no such problem. Any of you experts out there have any ideas?
Thanks!!!
