PCI Controller Card SATA, IDE, RAID-dont know how to connect use? winxp
Have a PCI Controller Card SATA, IDE, RAID for my winxp, later win7-PC.
its Mod.-Nr. 19739/20140922SZ009 by CSL germany.
NB: Sata-slots on card are wrongly specified in jumper-table CN2 is confused with CN3, wrongly named on card.
Driver is installed. i had choices. older were also available so i took newest. no information in the sheet.
They also do not tell that admin.right are needed.
Choises are:
A. Internal SATA Port CN3 + External SATA-Port/eSATA CN2
B. Internal SATA Port CN1 + Internal SATA-Port CN3
Actual jumpering is for A. using external esata-slot.
Maybe its wrong thinking:
i connected internal SATA-drive to the internal slot, esata is empty - I DONT SEE this drive
I will now change jumpering in verify.
so temporary using choice B.
Maybe i must connect pc-card with internal sata-slot and use drive externally?
i will wait until an answer is coming. Thanks a lot

Dang.

i have now esata-connection but this time through the slow internal sata-slot through pci-sata-card. will now do a systempartition(70gb) backup like i did through the second speedy slot through special-esata-MOBO-connector. and the initial backup(for incrementals) was very quick.
the idea is now-for win7 to use the speedy second slot for 65 gb ssd-swapfile-exclusive and maybe data-hdd/ssd later on second slow SATA. using esata-slot for backups.
