    Speeding up Internet-shutting down Powermanagement?

    "Now the Power Management tab.
    Take the check out of the box in front of [b]"Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
    Some of the USB stuff in Device manager have the Power management tab and have the same darn box checked in front of that statement.
    I disable it every time I find it. Read a webpage and your nic is shutdown is maddening."
    Train gave me this tip but i dont understand. yes i understand description. Just to be sure:

    Power Management on the NIC applies to USB also

    Believe me, it is very irritating while reading a webpage, that Windows decides to shut off the nic.
    The same darn thing happens with USB too. It started in XP and continues to effect newer versions of windows.
