    RAM performing very badly

    Hi,

So I checked my RAM by Passmark benchmark software (but also some others) and my Kingston KHX1600C10D3/8GX 8GB has a really low result. Moreover I can sometimes notice that, for example when I have more than 5 Chrome tabs open my pc freezes for a while and I found out it had to do with RAM (windows 10). The mark score is half the average of the same model. My pc is not the best there is but it certainly is good. Do you know why my memory is performing so bad? I already did memtest: no errors. It is specifically slow in memory write and latency.

    Thanks

How many programs start up automatically?

When was the last time you cleaned out the Temp files?

6 GB I find to be more than plenty for Win 10.

we should lead him to a site which is telling how to accelerate pc, e.g. by shutting down services.
shouldnt he run memtest386 too? cleaning memory/contacts could also help.
if he is not using SSD-drive, he could use defraggler to defrag HDD.

Win 10 has its own defragger and it does a good job.
Voltage to the ram could be off and that will slow things down.
Scheduled tasks , store bought PCs and Laptops have all kinds of things that needs stopped.

A lot of times , other than the Windows Defender AV which is native, AV programs flat slow things down, and a couple of them have put out bad updates and the fix has been to use the removal tool for the program and reinstaall.
