    How displaying Desktop-files/folders? Windows 7

Had to delete quite a lot of data from a friends pcs win-7-desktop. and i finally succeeded but later forgot how i found the folder....!
At rightside-taskbar deleting each file after the other is a real pain.
I sometimes have the feeling that google does not show the right answers. Thanks

At least i know i didnt have 500mb-bootdrive on old pc. 320 only on old one. when on right one i have named drive-model in system-partition-name.
i only know i once made a big mistake and attached external drive falsely and when i interrupted scandisk/chkdsk it led to terrible partition-overlapping, corrupt MFT. Still not cured. at least no important data there.
