ilink to ilink-cable? Cam to PC-But PC doesnt have Firewire anymore

Can i use this ilink(DV IN/OUT-firewire-cable together with card to attach old digital video Camera recorder Sony DCR-TRV30E to new win7-pc?
its 4-pin and manual is showing 4pin-4pin ilink-ilink cable. is the small one also fitting the slot which takes 6pin-firewire?

ILINK TO ILINK would that also work. slot is looking totally different. much smaller than firewire. i am puzzled about what was discussed on the net.

winxp still had firewire. but we cant find the cable anymore....
Friend told he was successful on old PC. maybe with a different sony-cam-i have seen it! Thanks

He is very convinced he used an USB-cable on winxp. But where to connect? manual doesnt confirm this.
Have found newest software. maybe first installing that.
Has mini-dv-cassette for video and memory stick- for photos only.

Since the ilink/firewire cable has been found its sure it can be attached to the large firewire slot of HP-compaq dx6100.
We only now need the pc-express-card. everything will surely be quicker now from firewire to pc-express.
maybe some older pcs had genuine ilink(4pin) connectors.

No firewire officially on DX 6100.... only via pci-express-card then.
must recheck pc. is not present at the moment.
