Seagate internal HDD to USB query
Hi guys, I have an old internal Seagate HDD Model ST3160023A 7200.7 160gb that was taken out of my old PC.
I can't remember what i had on it.
I now have a new PC and it wasn't fitted into it.
Is there anyway to connect it up externally to USB with conversion USB/Power cables etc so I can see what is on the HDD?
Thank you

You could get an IDE or EIDE USB hard drive adapter. Something like this:

My next purchase now that USB 3 is out.

Orico has wonderful external cases. website is a bit confusing. Unfortuanately they have no pdf-list of all their stuff. comparing, going trough on website is pain-but worthful. I have the flat usb-esata-enclosure 6518 series. in the shops we have the vertical ones only.
take care and maybe aks here how to work with external drives. i once made a mistake, not knowing how to work with these data-system went corrupt.
if i were you i would shut down Chdsk at start until you can see data.
