Ccleaner is removing custom history setting
dont know where is the trigger to avoid ccleaner to remove my history setting:
"firefox will setup a history" (or similar, first option of three).
if i remember right this is new, was not in earlier years. its not cache. will now remove all FF-options and check.
-
CCleaner has a setting to remove it and needs to be unchecked.
-
It was altering again. maybe defraggler does. will now uncheck all firefox-options in ccleaner. did it and reactivated and nothing changed maybe closing and reopening acount does or even reboot.
UPDATE:ccleaner
all FF-options unchecked. still altering. unchecked old prefetch data.
if this does not improve quick i will kick ccleaner out.
campfire-forum people do not like me when i reopen old thread and since i am still a quite satisfied winxp-user. its rock-stable. maybe win7 and win10 are much more... or not or the latter not yet.

Its different. At every start this setting is altered....
so Firefox reset or when not working the further action removing a line in user.js

resetting could it be most probably since i hadnt done since a long time.
the problem is when using FEBE firefox addon one has to reinstall and setup it and restore at least addons or not also bookmarks and PWs and login. maybe only addons. but its an quick and easy task. only before doing save with FEBE first.

FEBE firefox addon
I have never used it and have no idea whether it even works with the newer versions of FF.
Guess it has been updated.

had to reinstall addons couldnt use backup. but thats a smaller problem. earlier there were bigger problems but FEBE is definitively a MUST for me. backing up addons, bookmarks, Passwords. there is a forum.

Bookmarks, I just save as HTML and can remember my passwords.
-
I did a special cccleaner- setup after an older instruction. is there a newer one? or would TFC be enough?
-
Go to TFC and get rid of Ccleaner, it has caused you all kinds of grief.
TFC does the better job in my book.
