    Windows 10 Issues?

Just wondering what people have seen.

I upgraded two weeks ago & thought all was good. Yesterday my network controller, Realtek GBe, no longer worked and I had no internet. I am hard wired to the router. Restarted everything, even tried a new router port. Decided to do a Restore from a couple of different points and got messages saying it couldn't complete. While using the Windows trouble shooter on the network controller it found nothing but suggested I read up on FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE. I did a little Googling and found references to people with ASUS laptops seeing this with a Blue Screen of Death (I have an ASUS M4A785-M mobo). One guy said it started after a Windows 10 update on Friday. Anyway, after wasting a lot of time I decided to revert back to Windows 7. Came right up, network controller is fine.

Again, just wondering if others have run into issues that may be due to incompatibility.

    Found this

UPDATE: Everyone who has an ASUS computer should update the two drivers for Windows 10. They are on the ASUS website one is for the touchpad (if you have a laptop/notebook) and the other is ATKPackage. Although these updates are not related to thos particular issue, they will cause issues eventually.

I would wait till Dec to try a second time to upgrade the laptop and hope they get it right by then.

Thanks Train - yep, I already decided to cools my heels for a while before attempting it again. This was the first time I jumped before the first Service Pack came out.

No SPs will be made for Win 10, so the Dec date was given.

As I BETA tested Win 10, I do have it installed on a old Dell Optiplex 755 with 2 GB or ram and a SSD harddrive.

My main rig is Win 7 and will stay that untill 2020 as will a Laptop. I have 15 years of work, yes it is backed up many times, that I would hate to lose any part of.

As I still concider Win 10 to be in BETA testing, but on a world wide scale. Just to many folks having trouble getting it installed and running right

Thanks again. Actually, my wife asked me, "Is Microsoft expecting the public to be their beta testers" - lol.

I would recommend a bit of search about Windows 10 privacy issues.
