    Question User Accounts problem

I am still using Win Xp. For some strange reason, I am not able to open my User Accounts window to make any changes or add another user. I get a message that says:"Wrong number of arguments or invalid property assignment." How can I fix this? thanks for any help.

    Something is corrupt.
    Run sfc /scannow
The program may (or it may not) ask you for your Windows XP installation CD - please insert it at the prompt. If it doesn't ask you for the CD this means that it wasn't necessary to replace any files.

It did say to put in the CD but I do not know which file to reinstall. Will it effect any files I really need, like all the security files already on it? My win Xp home version is updated with all neccessary files up to the date they stopped offering support. I know I am probably worrying too much, but I don't know PCs very well. Will it say to restore the User Accounts file alone? I just need to know what to look for, if I'm supposed to look for it anyway. Thanks for your time very much.

It will get the needed file and replace the damaged one.

In a case like this, afterward, I would visit windows update just to be Safe.

    Microsoft Fix it

    "Let me fix it myself:

To fix this problem, use the regsvr32 command to register the .dll files. To do this, follow these steps:

Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
At the command prompt, type the following commands, press ENTER after each command, and then click OK when a message says that the registration is successful:

    Regsvr32 jscript.dll
    Regsvr32 nusrmgr.cpl
    Regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll
    Regsvr32 themeui.dll
    Regsvr32 Vbscript.dll
Anti-wrinkle cream there may be, but anti-b astard cream there is not..

Very nice, Fancy! Love those "Fixits".

Vivian, you could run sfc (system file checker), but you may have to enable the RUN thingy first anyway (Thank, MS!)

You should do that anyway for the future.

SFC /scannow would take some time. The Fixit is a great alternative!
