    Log-off before restarting winxp?

I seldom used log-off during restart-process on winxp. but latetely system is asking mbam to shut-down.
that was not beforehand. Whats wrong?
And why the option not logging off? What are the advantages/disadvantages.
background is the fact that if i am too late switch-off menue of screen will be gone. so i do switch off right after restart(not logging-off beforehand), but later i see pc is hanging at mbam-warning.

You have the paid for version of mbam and it will tend to hang up.
Go into task managr and shut it down before shutting down or rebooting.
Never logged out myself, I just shut XP, Win 7 or Win 10 down.
