ntoskrnl.exe damaged-cannot boot winxp
i killed my bootable 2tb-winxp-drive by executing defraggler-errors.
its copy if a seperate drive which has overlapping problems of partition C/D with no access to D anymore.
desktop was blocked when i tried to install partition magic to try repairing with it.
expanding from cd did not work. neighter worked by copying from other working system after renaming.
when i try with winxp-cd-repair-procedure hdd is not seen.... at least i can find the cd-location...
attaching to working system did not repair. this was the succesful procedure for other boot-problems. should i try system-recovery?

SOLVED
Solved by executing systemrecovery in safe mode(F8)!
but desktop doesnt want to load quick enough. or is blocked. will now flatten a 2tb-drive(with dban) and duplicate using clonezilla. then install windows xp over the old one.
its the remaining drive with c and d overlapped. no access to D. on the second one i killed C and D by reunite them... stupidly.

Why I have 4 USB hdds for backups, with 3 being offsite at any given time.

i am thinking about a NAS too, this one:
QNAP TURBO NAS TS-212P
2 bay giga nas storage system.
empty 150 chf ONE 2gb-drive costs about 90 chf, so price would match the price of the synology below.
i dont have usb 3.0 on my actual pc. esata is quickest for external drives.
or:
Synology DS215j Green 2x 2TB
Dual-core 1x usb 3.0, usb 2.0

For my actual Dual-core-situation maybe better:
a) second hdd-drive on SATA I plus-have two free slots. second SATA II is reserved for esata.
b) esata on docking-station for backing that up automatically.
pci-usb 3.0-card makes no sense for Asrock alivedual esata2, right?
the idea: using two docking-stations, one esata and the other one usb 3.0 or usb 2.0(without card)
-
one esata and the other one usb 3.0 or usb 2.0(without card)
Yes, that would work.
Did not take long the other day when I transfered 30 GB via USB 2 at 25 MB verses my rig does 75 MB with 3.0'
